Sometimes Life Happens!

Life has been very busy this last week! We are going on vacation for a week and trying to prepare for the first vacation with a six month old baby is a bit of a challenge to say the least. I will try to post again shortly after we return from vacation. Thanks for stopping by!

John 15:5 CSB This is a great memory verse but sometimes it helps to understand what it means when you are trying to memorize a verse.   I'm looking at John 15:1-17 CSB and this is exciting. Passover

  Now the LORD gave the following instructions to Moses and Aaron while they were still in the land of Egypt:  "From now on, this month will be the first month of the year for you.  Announce to the whole community that on the tenth day of this month each family must choose a lamb or a young goat for a sacrifice.  If a family is too small to eat an entire lamb, let them share the lamb with another family in the neighborhood. Whether or not they share in this way depends on the size of each family and how much they can eat.  This animal must be a one-year-old male, either a sheep or a goat, with no physical defects.  "Take special care of these lambs until the evening of the fourteenth day of this first month. For Whom He Foreknew

Romans 8:28-30 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For whom he foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." This is to me, is one of the most encouraging scriptures in the whole Bible. It reminds me of Jeremiah 1:5 which says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you..." . My parents didn't plan to have me but even so, God knew me before I was formed in my mother's womb. I was planned by God and predestined to love and serve God and to be conformed to the image of His Son. God had and still has a plan for me.
